Terms of Service

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Fitrah Filter ("we", "us") governing your use of the Fitrah Filter app and website. By ticking the agreement box at sign-up, or by using the service, you accept these Terms. Please read them.

The Service

Fitrah Filter provides AI-assisted analysis of media (movies, TV shows, books, video games, and YouTube channels), highlighting potential Islamic and developmental concerns to help parents make informed choices.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. The service is intended for parents and other adults.

Not Religious or Professional Advice

Analyses are informational and AI-generated. They may be incomplete or inaccurate, and they are not a fatwa, not scholarly consultation, and not a substitute for your own judgment or the guidance of a qualified scholar. You are responsible for your own decisions about what your family engages with.

Your Account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• Accounts are for individual use and credentials must not be shared.

Subscriptions and Payments

• Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You may cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the period you have paid for.
• Except where a refund is required by applicable law or the rules of the app store you purchased through, payments are non-refundable.
• Complimentary or gifted memberships are time-limited and may be ended early if the gift was issued in error or abused.
• Prices and plan features may change; changes will be reflected before they take effect.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download analyses or other content;
• resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the analyses;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models or source;
• disrupt the service or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data;
• use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or restrict access if you breach these rules.

Intellectual Property

The app, its branding, and its content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your own family's benefit. Media titles, cover art, and related information belong to their respective owners and are referenced for identification and commentary only.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that analyses are accurate or complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on the analyses provided. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Your Statutory Rights

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects the mandatory rights granted to you by the consumer-protection and data-protection laws of the country where you live. Those rights apply in addition to these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date, and your continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you where you live.
